Before joining his father to help launch Window World in 1997, Whitworth was a national sales trainer for a window company that eventually became Atrium Windows.

According to an obituary in the Wilkes Journal Patriot, Whitworth is survived by his wife, Tammy Eller Whitworth; one daughter, Anna Grace Whitworth; two sons, Wyatt Thomas Whitworth and William Tucker Whitworth; his mother, Marie Wyatt Whitworth of Wilkesboro; his father, Leon Whitworth of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and one sister, Kimberly Crysel and husband, Randy, of North Wilkesboro.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, February 9 at 2 p.m. at Millers Creek United Methodist Church. The family will be at the Window World Corporate Offices at 118 Shaver Street in North Wilkesboro following the memorial service, according to the newspaper.

The company’s charitable foundation, Window World Cares, raises money to support the mission of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Memorials may be made to Window World Cares to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 118 Shaver Street, North Wilkesboro, N.C. 28659.
