SEATTLE -- June 23, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Penguin Windows has made a major donation by providing over 70 windows for new Habitat for Humanity housing projects in the Seattle area.

The donation makes it possible for Habitat for Humanity to provide affordable housing opportunities for seven new households at High Point (West Seattle) and Rainier Vista (Rainier Valley). Habitat's unique model of home ownership is highly successful in assisting low and very low-income households in purchasing a home. Habitat achieves this level of affordability by building the units almost exclusively with volunteer labor and donations of products like the windows from Penguin Windows.

"We're honored to team with Habitat for Humanity Seattle/South King County to provide the windows for these new homes," said Dean Laue, president of Penguin Windows. "Both projects show what happens when the Seattle community comes together. We're proud of our role at both High Point and Rainier Vista."

"Penguin Windows has come to us as a true partner by providing a high quality product and professional installation," said Marty Kooistra, chief executive officer for Habitat for Humanity in Seattle/South King County. "We're delighted with the partnership."
