The basement in this house is the central entertainment area and party space of the home. By increasing the size and improving the layout, this basement houses the residents’ collection of sports memorabilia on every level. Walls were illuminated with track lighting for sports jerseys. Custom shelving creates a great framed element for helmets, autographed equipment, and other collected items. Designing for a large sofa was brought through a new recessed beam in the ceiling to give the maximum amount of open space for watch parties. A guest sleeping room finished off this awesome new basement space.

The homeowners wanted their traditional home to reflect their modern, ascetic aesthetic. They envisioned a versatile basement living area that could be used for entertaining, guest accommodations, exercise, and wellness. The team designed an industrial space that included a home theater, a kitchenette, a guest bedroom suite, home office workspace, and a personal gym with sauna and spa area. They brought in natural light by adding two windows with emergency egresses. It is warm and intimate yet open, creating privacy without walls.

This project has it all: fun, drama and richness, along with a little whimsey in the bathroom. It showcases a mix of different elements to change the party vibe from football to wine tastings to pool party to cocktail party.

A casual dinner party turned into a new home purchase when this couple least expected it. Falling in love with the previous owners’ tastes, they wanted to put their own stamp on the home’s already wonderful design. Their previous home was very traditional, and this home was quite the opposite; this was going to be a 180-degree transformation. Discovering that the clients had the same passion for color and texture that the design team had was the secret sauce they needed to create just the right home for them.

This older couple resides in a golf course community and wanted to expand their horizons and finish their unfinished basement for entertainment purposes and more. Their wish list consisted of: exercise room, full-scale movie theater, fireplace area, guest bedroom, full-size master bath suite style, full bar area, entertainment and pool table area and tray ceilings. Trim work, crown molding, tray ceiling, wainscoting, wide-plank engineered flooring, matching stairs and railing have made this basement the jewel of this community.
