Deluxe Designs of Arizona
Oro Valley, Ariz.

Deluxe Designs of Arizona transformed this dull, existing courtyard into the lively outdoor living area the clients were yearning for. They integrated artificial turf between the pavers to add color and pattern and faux living walls to offer year-round color without maintenance. The contrast of the faux wood cladding warmed up the industrial gray tones and brought attention to architectural features, like the high windows, that went previously unnoticed. To help break up the artificial finishes, they introduced three organically textured pots with low-water cacti. Lastly, they accessorized with string lighting, throw pillows, blankets, tables and additional faux foliage to complete the indoor/outdoor look.

Forest Hill, Md.

The owners of the recently built, semi-custom home had an exceptional vision of how they wanted their outdoor space to look and function. Through the design team and craftsmen, they were able to manifest the first stage of many features they visualized for their property. With these amazing decking color selections and a cathedral style T&G ceiling and beams in a Hawaiian pattern, this design is sure to stand out in their neighborhood. With the addition of the heaters, the homeowners will be able to entertain in this space year-round.

Rochman Design Build
Ann Arbor, Mich.

Take one global pandemic, 18 months of virtual schooling, toss in some elementary-school aged kids and a cat, all in a tight family room area, and you’ve got all the ingredients for the perfect point of pain: The clients needed more space for everyone. The solution? Add a three-season screened porch that is spacious and inviting, along with a fun treehouse. Whether reading in the tree house hammocks, having a zoom meeting on the couch, or even the cat chasing sunbeams on the cool tile floor, the new sunroom and treehouse have given everyone some much needed space.

The Porch Company
Nashville, Tenn.

The homeowner moved into a new home with the obligatory deck with no roof and no shelter from the elements. Porches are very popular in this part of the country due to insects and inclement weather. The homeowners were looking to create a screened outdoor space that reflected their modern style.
