This attic started as dysfunctional and dark with plenty of unused space. The remodel took advantage of the spacious attic and unused potential and created a beautiful primary suite with three defined areas. There was no need to add walls, which resulted in the attic having a light and airy feel. The clients were ecstatic to take this unused space and transform it into three functional areas: a bathroom, bedroom and sitting area. Not to mention their favorite part, the multi-sided fireplace visible from both the bathtub and the bedroom.

What was once too dingy to use is now the crown jewel atop the rest of the house. The clients can enjoy working from home, feel like laundry isn’t a chore, accommodate guests with a special space, and let their bathroom make them feel like they are relaxing at a spa.

In an effort to take full advantage of the stunning views and natural light, Renovation Design Group removed the wall between the galley kitchen and the living room, creating an open floor plan. With its modern design and aesthetics, the bi-fold window was a perfect addition to the kitchen.

Proving that there’s no need to add square footage to create functional space, Platt Builders combined the existing mudroom and old laundry room and relocated the laundry room to a large storage closet on the second floor. These changes allowed for a larger drop-zone in the mudroom and a more convenient location for the laundry room. The mudroom is no longer a chaotic afterthought, and the laundry room is a cheerful place to be.
