This project request from a veteran dog foster started with a dog wash/kennel area. The existing dog kennel situation for her foster pups was chaos. The goal was to give the dogs their own space and tame some of the chaos. Underneath the custom concrete dog wash sink are hidden steps for the dogs to easily access the bathing station without having to lift them. A barn door separates the dog space from the lounge. The dog wash/kennel project is the perfect solution to tame the chaos that comes with having multiple foster dogs.

This pantry packs a mighty punch in terms of utility and beauty. The client—an avid baker and huge entertainer—loves the intimacy of the space and jokes that she’d rather be in that space because it is so ”zenful” to her. This pantry renovation has given the clients much-needed additional workspace, dedicated baking space, and an oasis within the large home. It is proof that a well-designed space doesn’t require a lot of it.

The “Balcones Club Renovation Project” transformed a family’s dated, impractical space into an inviting family “hub” by creating a floating staircase, lowering a ceiling and modernizing materials and color choices. This allowed the client to meet building code, create more functional living and storage space, and improve flow throughout the home.

The homeowners wanted a bold, modern design for their home office, which needed to include two workstations, file cabinets, storage, a seating area and bar. The team was able to transform the lifeless room into a one-of-a-kind design by adding new flooring, paint, light fixtures, millwork, furniture selections and space planning. They took an unconventional path for the paint selection by painting the ceiling an accent color. This maximized the reflections in the high-gloss finishes, visually increasing the height of the room. They repeated the color scheme in the millwork, providing an overall unique and dramatic design.
