A young husband and wife wanted their master bathroom to mimic a memorable vacation retreat from years past. The company completely gutted the existing master bath down to its bare bones and reconfigured the space, eliminating the tub and specifying organic materials as well as clean finishes. The reclaimed teak used in slats was salvaged from vintage buildings in Southeast Asia.

The design also utilizes large format, floor-to-ceiling porcelain tile to add a sense of grandeur to the smaller-scale bath. The subtle shine of the polished tile contrasts well with the rich color of the cherry wood cabinets and the salvaged teak wood slats. When intermingled with the bold, matte black finishes, they evoke the perfect balance to create an inviting retreat after a long day.
