As empty nesters, it was time to focus on taking care of oneself and to create a healthier personal space. Their existing builder grade Tuscan bath was out of style and lacked necessary storage in all the critical areas including the linen cabinet. The shower was spacious but remained unused for many years due to a water leak and the necessary time to renovate it properly. The corner tub was a throwback to the 80s with an oversized window above it. And overtime, their styles changed dramatically from heavy Tuscan to Modern with clean lines.

The team decided to keep the existing layout and focused on optimizing each critical area with better solutions at each location. Adding much needed storage at each location without expanding the footprint meant working with a cabinetry manufacturer that had the necessary solutions for what we wanted to achieve. Each vanity needed meaningful storage plus a dedicated linen cabinet. The big bay window did not provide the necessary privacy, and the framed deck behind the tub leaked and was severely decayed. While keeping the tub at this location, the team created a freestanding tub, and replaced the oversized window with a transom which provides both privacy and natural light.
