The scope of the project included getting the existing kitchen and connecting the areas to the studs to implement a modern design. The objective was to create space that reflected the European client’s personal style, creativity, and functional needs. The vision for the design also prioritized letting the outside in, with proper light and connection to the outside. A future outdoor living phase is in the works, hence proper doors to the back.

The primary challenges was blending the traditional exterior with the newly designed modern interiors. With the additional of a glass wall, the team was able to bring natural light into the kitchen. Not only did the windows increase interior natural light, but they also work well on the rear exterior elevation as well. Additionally, they modernized a few of the exterior details, so when one enters the home, they have an idea of what’s to come.
