This one-of-a-kind office and library loft provides a dynamic and technical element to the large open room. The industrial modern structure helps to unify the living area and kitchen, while providing a private office and an open and bright reading room. The aluminum structure is light weight but extraordinarily strong, and because it is assembled with knock down fasteners, it can be dismantled and reassembled easily.

The challenge of air circulation, natural light and keeping her puppies out of her office was solved by installing a half-light Dutch door. The door is painted red to match the kitchen cabinetry and new dog pen.

The client was ecstatic with the entire construction process, and her expectations were exceeded. She regularly hosts friends and neighbors for an “office party” celebrating her newsrooms. Her grandchildren and puppies enjoy lounging in the loft with their favorite books and toys.
