The clients loved driving through the country near their horse-boarding stable. After driving by a particular property for nearly 10 years, it popped up on the market, and they had to have it. The 3-acre Oregon City property contained a 1960 Cape Cod home. To transform this quaint house into their dream home, the new owners decided to pursue an addition to the existing residence.

They did not want to have any stairs to worry about since this would be their forever home, and the goal is to age in place. The house functions primarily as one-level living with guest quarters upstairs over the garage and in the existing farmhouse.A new primary suite located between the kitchen and the great room on the main level means there will never be any stairs to worry about.
