The owners, who built this large home in the mid-1990s, love to travel and entertain. They soon realized, however, the dark, chopped-up kitchen (a peninsula divided the large space) no longer worked for them. The company completely gutted the outdated kitchen and improved its layout in many ways, sot hey could entertain the way they wanted and not have a boring, white kitchen.

Eliminating the peninsula and adding a large island that seats six people enables guests to gather in the kitchen. Removing a useless hutch creates a wet bar where the client can serve all sorts of beverages in style. An enlarged window on the back of the house gives the clients more natural light and better views to the property, and the custom mosaic is crafted from a sketch of theirs.
