QR: Your team was able to achieve high rates of customer satisfaction during the pandemic, a time of greater scrutiny because clients were at home more. There were also supply-chain delays. What measures did your firm take to maintain client satisfaction?

When supply-chain delays became an issue, from day one we educated our clients about what timelines to expect and then gave them regular status updates as we experienced delays of up to 20 weeks or more for materials. These regular updates were greatly appreciated by our clients. Yes, they were frustrated but it made them feel like they weren’t forgotten.

QR: Firms with happier employees have higher levels of customer satisfaction. What are the top ways you are able to keep your employees happy and satisfied?

With employee shortages it has been rough, but we gave pay raises, offer employer contributed medical and dental insurance, and we have a monthly staff meeting to give everyone a voice, to listen to their issues and implement changes to improve the working environment and has improved overall employee satisfaction and productivity.

QR:Purpose driven” companies, those that exist to effect change or take action on something bigger than their products or services, attract a younger, higher skilled employees who tend to be more engaged workers. Some firms connect their “purpose” to a written mission statement. Do you operate a purpose-driven organization? And in what ways does your firm extend itself to outside causes.

We strive to have as many standard operating procedures as possible.  This offers consistency and structure to our employees’ day-to-day work life. Treating each project the same no matter how big or small we feel improves productivity, employee morale, a better product and customer satisfaction.

Since day one back in 2007, this has been Able & Ready’s goal. We work with our employees and educate them about internal and external customers. Words have meaning, so, when our employees read the mission statement, it’s not just about the homeowner we work for, but we work for each other and who the internal customer is, them. Create a family and team mentality and try to instill that pride in every aspect of their job.

Able & Ready strives to be the leader in providing superior remodeling services to our customers by creating a successful partnership with them throughout the construction process. Our pledge is to establish customer satisfaction by exceeding their expectation and gaining their trust through exceptional communication, project management, performance, and quality by every member of our team.
