The COVID-19 pandemic changed homeowner interactions. What measures do you use to signal an extra level of care when working in or around a client’s home?
We set up outside wash stations at each construction site with running water, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, gloves, and signs.
Seamless communication technology is now both necessary and expected. How have you used new technology platforms to promote better customer communication and satisfaction?
We had client meetings via technology while using our construction software to keep them updated on progress. We reduced the employees and subcontractors on-site when clients would schedule site visits. We signed contracts and final billed clients through virtual meetings, phone calls, and emails.
What was your message to clients with projects in progress in order to keep them happy and satisfied during the uncertainty of the stay-at-home period?
We communicated to our clients that we were complying with all the state’s requirements while focusing on continuing to make progress in their project as long as they were comfortable with the work while also keeping our employees and subcontractors safe.
