American Standard Acquires Borma

Piscataway, NJ American Standard Companies, the parent company
of Ideal Standard Europe and the U.S.-based plumbing products giant
that bears its name, has acquired Denmark-based Borma, a leading
kitchen/bath sanitary brass fittings manufacturer, the company
announced. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“We continue to strengthen our market presence in the high-end
luxury market segment throughout Europe,” said Wilfried Delker,
president of Ideal Standard Europe. “With this acquisition, we now
have entry into the fittings market in Denmark, Norway and
Sweden.”

Delker added that the Borma acquisition also allows the
publicly-traded American Standard Companies to “complement our JADO
luxury fittings line, broadening our product offerings in Europe
and the U.S.”

The acquisition follows the integration of three other
European-based sanitary brass fittings businesses JADO, Meloh
Armaturen and Metaalwarenfabriek Venlo B.V. by Ideal Standard over
the past two years.
