Bathroom $50,000-$70,000 | Bronze

Project name: Sherbourne Bathroom

To create a bathroom space with separate “his and hers” areas, Arch-Interiors Design Group collaborated with the client to create a calm, elegant and spa-like design. An oversized window was added to the bathroom, which created the challenge of working with the space’s remaining footprint for the water closet, his and hers vanities, a bathtub and separate shower. The bathtub was purposefully placed under the window to physically and visually define the separate his and her spaces. Ensuring the desired amount of storage, custom vanities were created with a white gloss finish and dark espresso architectural accent that wraps around the side; the vanities contrast the white Caesarstone countertop and showcase the vessel sinks. Designed for two, placement of the large-scale steam shower in a tight corner maximized its size without it becoming too large or out of scale. The shower has a square shape, bench and niche for storage. Porcelain tile flooring in a warm taupe color provides a warm canvas, and the shower walls are covered with a multi-tone mosaic with one tile that matches the base color of the flooring. Oversized mirrors were placed above the vanities and have a sconce mounted on them; along with a hanging pendant, the lighting provides a glow at night when dimmed.
