1. Demand for services is stronger than ever. Supply delays are widespread. Building product prices are rising. Please name the concrete steps you take to keep customers satisfied as timelines and prices are fluctuating?

We offer our customers an exact price in writing, and we guarantee that price for a full year, so the customer doesn’t have to worry about wild price fluctuations. We manufacture the products we sell and install well in advance of the installation date range, so when we arrive at the customer’s home, we are prepared to complete the job in a timely fashion. This policy has served us very well, and our customers appreciate it.

2. A good remodeling or home improvement firm knows the limits of its capabilities to take on additional work. What do/would you communicate to clients when you cannot handle their job and must decline their inquiry?

Our customers frequently ask us to do more work, such as kitchen remodeling, and we’ve even been asked to perform room additions and roofing! The simple response is that we specialize in bathroom remodeling, and we will never sacrifice our high quality workmanship just to make more money in a category where we are less qualified. I like the example of going to a cardiologist when you need a podiatrist….simply put, we know our limitations!

3. During busy times like these, operational adjustments are needed in order to take on more work, often with the same level of staffing. What steps have you taken to ensure a quality experience despite the added workloads for your team?

As a “Family First” organization, we encourage our lead installers and design consultants to reconnect with family each evening and plan family time on the weekends. It is our belief that completing more customer jobs in the same, or sometimes shorter time frame is secondary to quality time spent with family. This unique policy has served us well, and we will always put family before work. This helps us maintain our very high quality workmanship by not over-working our team.
