BLANCO Marks 75th Year In Business

Cinnaminson, NJ BLANCO, the German sink manufacturer with
fast-growing U.S. sales, is celebrating its 75th anniversary in
2000, the company announced.

BLANCO, whose U.S. headquarters are based in this New Jersey
community, marked its 75th year in business with an announcement
that sales for the company’s 13-year-old U.S. division, BLANCO
AMERICA, have tripled since 1996. Annual world sales have reached
$600 million, with exports to over 120 countries, the company
said.

BLANCO founded in 1925 as a producer of copper hot water bottles
was one of the first companies to recognize the advantages of
manufacturing kitchen sinks with stainless steel. The company now
produces sinks in stainless steel, a composite material known as
“Silacron,” and a second composite material called “Silgranit.”

“BLANCO is full of dynamic ideas and is still a fast-growing
company, especially outside Germany,” said CEO Frank Straub. “We
place great importance on continuing our long-lasting tradition of
investment and growth in North America,” he added.
