Building history into outdoor living space
With a project objective of building an outdoor living space befitting the time period of the existing home that was also designed for entertaining, a double fireplace and chimney became an integral part of the design. A design that was consistent with existing elements of the home was further complemented with the use of recycled brick materials from the 1900’s (some of which are stamped to indicate they were made by Oregon State Penitentiary inmates in 1912).
