QR: Your team was able to achieve high rates of customer satisfaction during the pandemic, a time of greater scrutiny because clients were at home more. There were also supply-chain delays. What measures did your firm take to maintain client satisfaction?

Cardinal Closets utilizes a collaborative approach with each client by conducting a thorough consultation to gather wants, needs, lifestyle and budget.  Later the proposal and cost is presented to the client in the showroom.  This method allows clients to verify or change the design so their vision can be met. Expectations are set and clients can see what they are purchasing; therefore, they trust us to deliver on what we promise. We also track all projects using a CRM software by ZeeRM.  This allows all team members to know the status and see all the communication about a project.  Cardinal Closets also operates under a strict set of checks and balances as part of our operations.  This catches errors in advance so our installations go as smoothly as possible.

QR: Firms with happier employees have higher levels of customer satisfaction. What are the top ways you are able to keep your employees happy and satisfied?

Cardinal Closets has a philosophy that Family Matters.  As a family owned and operated company for 30 years, we believe that employees will care about their work family, when they feel that Cardinal Closets cares about their family.  We have always been flexible in allowing employees to take care of business at home such as having flex time, adjusting work schedules and showing employees appreciation. Our employees have been with us an average of 22 years.

QR:Purpose driven” companies, those that exist to effect change or take action on something bigger than their products or services, attract a younger, higher skilled employees who tend to be more engaged workers. Some firms connect their “purpose” to a written mission statement. Do you operate a purpose-driven organization? And in what ways does your firm extend itself to outside causes.

Cardinal Closets believes that Organization Matters and being organized can lead one to love where ever they live from a starter home to a retirement home.   After being in business for 30 years, we have watched customers go through the stages of life and our employees can see their role in helping them love their home.  From the phrase Organization Matters came several themes including Customers Matter, Family Matters, Supply Chains Matter, Communication Matters, and YOU Matter.  Each of these phrases have guidelines behind them that help to train and shape our employees to see their purpose and role in our company.
