Construction Begins on Roxul Manufacturing Facility in West Virginia

by Kacey Larsen

Roxul Inc., part of the ROCKWOOL Group, is set to build a multimillion-dollar manufacturing facility in Ranson, West Virginia. Construction is expected to begin in October 2017 with initial production of the company’s stone wool insulation planned to begin in the first quarter of 2020. On a 130-acre site, the new manufacturing facility will cover some 460,000 square feet and employ approximately 150 people.

This addition of the production facility in Jefferson County adds to the ROCKWOOL Group‘s presence in North America—the company has existing manufacturing sites in Marshall County, Mississippi; Milton, Ontario; and Grand Forks, British Columbia.

“This new production site places us close to major population centers in the northeaster, mid-Atlantic and mid-western U.S.,” says Trent Ogilvie, president of Roxul. “We’re growing along with the market, and we look forward to serving our customers’ needs from this new facility.”
