Cooper Lighting Opens New Facility

Peachtree City, GA Cooper Lighting, the manufacturer of
incandescent, fluorescent and H.I.D (High Intensity Discharge)
luminaires has announced the opening of SOURCE, the Cooper Lighting
Training Center, at its corporate headquarters based here.

The company’s new 35,000-sq.-ft. training and education center
features nine application areas and seven showrooms (including a
Downlighting Products showroom and a Trac Systems/Surface and
Decorative Products showroom, among others). An auditorium and a
Fundamentals/Technology room are also featured at the facility,
designed for industry professionals seeking to advance their
lighting knowledge, the company notes. 

Expected to serve some 5,000 students annually, SOURCE focuses
on a variety of applications, including residential kitchens and
baths, according to the company.

Additionally, the showrooms and application areas combine to
display over 2,000 luminaires and the training/education facility
includes 678,000 ft. of wire and 30 miles of conduit, the company
explains.

Among the areas covered at the facility are: lamp and fixture
performance, design, installation, application and features and
benefits, with programs ranging from the novice to professional
level.
