DPHA Reports High Rentention
Bethesda, MD The Decorative Plumbing & Hardware Association
(DPHA) reported last month that the Bethesda, MD-based organization
retained more than 90% of its members in 2004.
The retention rate, announced during last month’s K/BIS in
Chicago, is “remarkable, considering that DPHA is only two years
old,” said DPHA president Jamie Gregg of Colonial Bronze Co.
“The broad-based support is testimony to the service that DPHA
is providing to the industry, and its ability to meet its members’
needs,” Gregg stated.
Gregg attributed DPHA’s membership retention success to the
“rapid development of products and services that the industry wants
and needs, the quality of deliverables and the ability to create a
close knit community among leading professionals to replace the
loose confederation that previously existed.
“For years, the industry talked about the need for educational
materials to provide product knowledge and salesmanship training to
showroom staff. DPHA has responded to that call,” he said.
