Elkay Honored By March of Dimes

Oak Brook, IL Elkay Mfg. Co., the Oak Brook, IL-based manufacturer
of kitchen sinks, faucets and water filtration products, has been
honored by the March of Dimes for the company’s “leadership in
promoting good health in the workplace and community.”

Elkay announced last month that it has received the prestigious
2002 March of Dimes “Vision 20/20” Award, which recognizes area
businesses and organizations for their work “in building a healthy
community through progressive workplaces practices.” Last year’s
winner, the McDonald’s Corp., was among the judges who selected
Elkay, the company noted.

“It is an extreme honor to be singled out by an organization
whose name is synonymous with promoting healthier children through
education,” said Elkay v.p./human resources and corporate services
Walter Reilly.

Elkay also announced it is donating some 200 water coolers and
fountains to The Storehouse of World Vision, a charity devoted to
improving housing and rehabilitating community facilities in
Chicago.
