EPA Ads About RRP Hit Radio Airwaves

by WOHe

The EPA has released a number of ads to run on radio to raise the public’s awareness of the EPA RRP Rule.  They are designed to inform consumers about the importance of contracting with Lead-Safe certified contractors.

The ads use examples of the harm lead paint can inflict on children and include the following information:

“If your home was built before 1978, renovations can spread dangerous lead paint dust. In children under 6, lead paint can cause loss of IQ and motor skills, as well as behavior issues and learning disabilities. Don’t let lead paint take away your children’s future. For more information about lead-safe certified contractors visit www.epa.gov/getleadsafe, or call 1-800-424-5323.
