Erie Home Names New CEO

NEW CANAAN, Conn.—Gridiron Capital portfolio company, Erie Home, appointed Jenilee Common as chief executive officer. Erie Home’s founder and former CEO Pat Trompeter is now chairman of the board and Randy Hamilton will continue to support the company’s growth as president. In 2022 the company generated $448 million in revenue from 58 offices.

Jenilee Common brings over 20 years of experience in leadership, sales, business strategy, pricing, supply chain management, and finance to Erie. She was most recently the vice president and general manager of roofing components at Owens Corning, the global building and construction materials company. Common has held several operational and financial roles over 11-plus years at Owens Corning, including sales director and pricing and business strategy manager.

Prior to her tenure at Owens Corning, Common served as a controller at Eaton Corp., a Fortune 500 multinational intelligent power management company. She spent the first half of her career with Owens Illinois, a leading global producer of glass packaging, where she was a controller and materials manager. She received a B.A. from The University of Toledo and an M.B.A. from Virginia Tech.
