Fabrication Training Center Set by ISSFA
Henderson, NV A new Training and Education Center aimed at
providing technical and general business information for solid
surface fabricators will be established by the International Solid
Surface Fabricators Association, the trade group announced.
ISSFA said its Board of Directors has given final approval for the
establishment of the Training and Education Center (ITEC) at
ISSFA’s headquarters here.
“ITEC will have tremendous influence on the emerging standards and
classifications of solid surface materials, as well as on
techniques of fabrication and the general business education of
ISSFA fabricators,” said Michael Wilson-South, v.p./education for
the 800-member ISSFA.
“When fully operational, ITEC will be the center for all ISSFA
education efforts and fabricator training,” Wilson-South said. “We
intend to offer the most comprehensive, up-to-the-minute and
in-depth training available anywhere, in all areas related to the
successful operation of a modern solid surface business.”
The first phase of construction on the center is expected to be
completed this month, with a shop portion of the facility
operational by early next year, ISSFA said.
