AUSTIN, Texas—Home improvement pros from around the country will be converging on Texas’ high-tech next month for the leading business-technology conference for fast-growing home-improvement companies seeking to leverage new software and ideas to boost lead-generation and sales efficiency.

After two successful years in the mid-Atlantic, the third-annual F.A.S.T. conference—which is a sister conference to TOP 500 LIVE—moves to the Austin Hilton Downtown. F.A.S.T. stands for focused on agile systems and technology. The lineup features top CEO and tech leaders from the industry.

Among the speakers are Klarissa Marenitch, the chief information and technology officer for Leaf Home, the nation’s No. 2 home-improvement company according to the Qualified Remodeler TOP 500 rankings. Leaf Home generated $1.9 billion on 405,101 jobs in 2022.

“New technology and new software today are key growth drivers for companies listed on the TOP 500. Big firms like Power Home Remodeling Group, West Short Home, and Leaf Home are prime examples,” said Patrick O’Toole, co-owner and EVP of content for SOLA Group Inc., which owns FAST, TOP 500 LIVE and Qualified Remodeler. “ Power’s CTO Tim Wenhold spoke at FAST. One year later Danny Fischer, CTO of West Shore spoke at FAST. And this year we’re excited to have Klarissa Marenitch of Leaf Home address the technology transformation that’s now underway.”

In addition to Marenitch, FAST 2024 will hear from Ryan Shutt, CEO of Southwest Exteriors; Chadd Castrilli, vice president of sales for Dream Home Roofers; tech-stack expert Anna Anderson; marketing expert Rich Harshaw; Patrick Fingles, founder of Nu Look Home Design; Andy Lindus of Lindus Construction; Kevin Booth and Rick Keith of ArmorGuard Exteriors and Gutter Helmet; and Cyrus Voss, CEO of MLM Home Improvement.

Each home improvement company leader will lead presentations on a particular aspect of their respective technology stack. Voss, for example will be presenting on all the latest trends in CRM software. CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management software, which manages central functions of home improvement companies. Voss presented on CRMs at FAST 2022 and is back with an all-new presentation due to several new products and new updates to existing software. Other deep dives from the group will explore trends in lead-generation, lead handling, lead qualifying, sales management, estimating and sales presentations, among others.

Artificial Intelligence | Paid Social and Other Deep Dives

Nu Look Home Design founder Patrick Fingles will offer a well-researched deep dive with a ground-level perspective on new tools that leverage artificial intelligence or AI. His presentation balances an entrepreneur’s need to stay current on AI with a practical approach that will highlight specific web-based tools that can help pros and their companies be more productive in 2024. The presentation will also highlight key AI opportunities that will be available within the next few years.

Andrew Smith, an expert and consultant in generating leads from paid social media campaigns, will highlight the latest kinds of lead-gen opportunities using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. Smith’s presentation and workshop session will cover everything from campaigns that utilize look-alike audiences to efforts based on a company’s own content as well as key directional signals and important algorithm changes coming from firms like Meta, Alphabet and ByteDance.

Data Collection and Data Management

Data management is another key theme for FAST 2024. A company’s customer and internal data is emerging as a critical new asset class for home improvement company entrepreneurs. That is why Qualified Remodeler is so pleased to bring in data and AI expert Kevin Leonard of Breakthrough Technologies to outline the ways a company’s own data can be leveraged across proprietary AI platforms to give business owners important new information and data based on their own past history that can be used for everything from maximizing lead-gen efforts with more accurate client profiles to sales and profit forecasting.
