Hahn, Hart Inducted Into ‘Hall of Fame’

Chicago Norman Hahn and B. Leslie Hart have become the two
latest members of the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s
“Hall of Fame,” the NKBA announced.

Hahn and Hart were both inducted into the Hall of Fame during
ceremonies at last month’s K/BIS here. The pair was cited for
“major contributions to the kitchen and bath industry during their
careers changing and advancing the industry as a whole.”

Hahn founded the East Earl, PA-based Conestoga Wood Specialities
Corp. in 1964. His company allowed cabinet manufacturers to
outsource the most complex cabinet components cabinet drawers and
drawer fronts to allow those companies to maximize their
productivity.

Hahn also spearheaded efficiencies and cost-savings by utilizing
extensive product developments and design capabilities.

Hart, the former editor and publisher of Kitchen & Bath
Business (KBB), “recognized [through her editorials] the growth of
the bath segment of the business and its importance to kitchen
dealers,” the NKBA noted. “She then expanded coverage of KBB and
encouraged kitchen dealers and industry professionals to diversify
themselves, embracing the bath segment,” the NKBA said.
