The COVID-19 pandemic changed homeowner interactions. What measures do you use to signal an extra level of care when working in or around a client’s home?
In addition to wipes and masks, we created COVID Kits for each job site that included wipes, Lysol, hand soap, cleaning spray, bleach spray, information sheets and paper towels. We provided each employee with hand sanitizer and masks. Our production manager made job site sinks for all on site to use through the day and we changed out a port a potty to one with a sink.
Seamless communication technology is now both necessary and expected. How have you used new technology platforms to promote better customer communication and satisfaction?
Henderer Design + Build has been using Zoom and Facetime for client meetings whenever possible and email regularly with each client to check on their comfort level.
What was your message to clients with projects in progress in order to keep them happy and satisfied during the uncertainty of the stay-at-home period?
Our message to clients with projects in progress was that we were able to keep moving forward with their projects if they were comfortable having us in their homes. We communicated about the COVID kits and the precautions we were taking. We let them know that meeting would be virtual and did weekly check in with client to address any concerns and just check in on them in general.
