Business technology and business software are offering new ways for remodelers and home improvement professionals to improve client experience and customer satisfaction. In what ways are you using software or technology to improve client experience?:
At Hogan Design & Construction, we pride ourselves in providing the optimal client experience and in staying up to speed with the evolving industry and technologies. From initial Sales Estimates to Project Completion, we are surveying the client’s experience to make all necessary adjustments to best serve them. Throughout the production of their project we are utilizing project management software to document, communicate, and visualize the realization of their project. We provide the clients selections, photo documentation, visually built project schedules, and invoicing documentation through the provided project management software.
Rising costs for labor and building materials along with higher inflation on everything else is forcing remodelers and home pros to raise prices dramatically. Tell us about the most effective ways you are passing along these rising prices to your clients?:
Since the client experience is our top priority at HDC, we work hard to prevent dramatic price increases. We do our best to procure materials and selections at the front end of projects to lock in pricing and secure logistics. However, in the event that we cannot avoid passing along rising prices of materials and selections, we have thoroughly discussed our Escalation Clause in our Construction Contract at the signing of our client’s agreement.
Supply shortages have required you to ask clients to go back and pick another finish or building material. What are your tips for handing these product trade-off conversations?:
During Design and Production, our Designers and Project Managers are well-trained in making our clients feel/know we are on their side and that we face the challenges associated with the supply shortages and logistic complications within the industry together. We are well dialed into our clients’ needs, expectations, and DiSC Profiles. When approaching these issues and conversations, we are mindful of our clients’ budgets and style preferences so that we are providing solutions rather than problems.
