Honoring Excellence

In a world where leadership has taken on an increasingly important
role, excellence takes on a whole new meaning not just as something
we strive for, but as something we seek out to inspire us, give us
hope, and help us to find meaning in all that we do. The design
industry, like so many other industries, offers its own shining
examples of greatness, achievement and leadership and these not
only teach and inspire us individually, but also give the industry
a source of pride, as well as examples to emulate, learn from and
grow from.

Accordingly, Kitchen & Bath Design News is once again
honoring individuals and companies in the kitchen and bath design
industry who are true leaders, with the presentation of its third
annual Industry Leadership Awards. Nearly two dozen industry
players including kitchen and bath dealers, distributors,
“whotailers,” manufacturers, sales reps and others have been named
as recipients of the 2001 Industry Leadership Awards, presented
exclusively by K&BDN. Each of the award winners is being
highlighted in this month’s issue. 

Begun in 1999, the Industry Leadership Awards are the first
kitchen and bath industry honors to focus on leadership excellence
and outstanding industry achievement in eight specific

“While the common focal points for most kitchen and bath
industry awards are sales volume and design expertise, the Industry
Leadership Awards program takes a different approach, awarding its
honors on the basis of achievements in business management,
marketing, the use of showrooms, community service and related
activities that are all critical to any company’s success,” offers
Eliot Sefrin, K&BDN’s editorial director and publisher.

“The companies and associates we are paying homage to with the
2001 awards are industry leaders whose achievements have enhanced
