ISSFA Cites Top Achievers At Trade Show
Las Vegas, NV The International Solid Surface Fabricators
Assoc-iation (ISSFA) has honored a number of its members for their
achievements and contributions to the association.
ISSFA announced the awards during a dinner and ceremony at Solid
Surface 2000, the three-day ISSFA-sponsored trade show and
conference conducted at the MGM Grand Hotel in February.
The show, in its third year, drew 120 exhibitors and 3,775
registered attendees from 50 states and 28 foreign countries,
according to ISSFA executive v.p. Mike Duggan.
Among the awards presented were the following:
- State Coordinator of the Year, for the state coordinator who
has done the most in the preceding year to further the goals of
ISSFA: Chuck Sprovieri of Sprovieri’s Custom Counters.
Other nominees for the category included Trish Cox of LG Decorative
Surfaces, Neal Galligan of Designer Surfaces Inc., Erica Hussey of
Jack’s Custom Woodworking, Frank Raethke of First Place Inc.,
Steven Stoddary of Advanced Surfaces Inc., and Marilyn Sweeney of
Top Surface Inc. - Local Chapter of the Year, for the chartered ISSFA local
chapter that has best exemplified the values and goals of ISSFA:
The Greater Chicagoland Chapter.
Other nominees for the category included the Columbia Chapter, the
Houston Chapter, the Ohio Valley Chapter, and the Western
Pennsylvania Chapter. - Fabricator of the Year, for the owner or executive of the
fabricator-member company that in the past year has best
exemplified the ISSFA ideals of quality, innovation and overall
excellence in all aspects of their business: Bobby Hewitt of Empire
Fabrications.
Other nominees for the category included Gus Blume of Blume’s Solid
Surface Products and Jack Hussey of Jack’s Custom Countertops. - Associate of the Year, for the executive of the
associate-member company that in the past year has best exemplified
the ISSFA ideas of outstanding character, exemplary service to the
Association, and outstanding service to the solid surface industry:
Tom Pinske of The Pinske Edge.
Other nominees for the category included Chuck Geerdes of North
Star, Jack Ballard of LG Decorative Surfaces, Jerry Horn of
Performance Abrasives, and Keith McLoughlin of DuPont Corian. - Award of Excellence, for the owner or executive of the
fabricator-member company who in the past year personally has best
embodied the ISSFA ideals of outstanding character, exemplary
service to the Association, and outstanding service to the solid
surface industry: Michael Wilson-South of Solid Surface
Technologies.
Other nominees for the category included Bobby Hewitt of Empire
Fabrications, Jon Lancto of Solid Surface Products and Tim Hovey of
Top Master. - Hall of Fame, for the member whose career has most impacted the
solid surface fabrication industry and directed it toward
excellence and mutual benefit: Jon Lancto of Solid Surface
Products.
Other nominees for the category included Ed Wright of INcounters,
Gus Blume of Blume’s Solid Surface Products, and Tom Pinske of The
Pinske Edge.
