Business technology and business software are offering new ways for remodelers and home improvement professionals to improve client experience and customer satisfaction. In what ways are you using software or technology to improve client experience?:

We have found that consistent and thorough communication is critical to keeping clients satisfied throughout the design build process. Early decision making is also essential; we guide our clients as soon as possible to the design decisions they can make early in the project timeline that will allow us to order ahead of time and secure pricing wherever we can. To increase our ability to respond before an issue arises, we conduct continual research to discover new vendors and expand necessary resources.

Rising costs for labor and building materials along with higher inflation on everything else is forcing remodelers and home pros to raise prices dramatically. Tell us about the most effective ways you are passing along these rising prices to your clients?:

JDR has a structured system in place to refer clients, who may not be a good fit with our design build process, to other reputable and reliable remodeling firms. Because there may be an opportunity with these clients at some time in the future, we emphasize helpful and clear information sharing.

Supply shortages have required you to ask clients to go back and pick another finish or building material. What are your tips for handing these product trade-off conversations?:

As levels of work fluctuate, our systems and processes have been designed to respond to changing times. Whatever the amount of work, we assure that each and every client receives the same level of client care and exceptional workmanship. Our thoughtfully designed custom software boosts our ability to track multiple projects and deadlines. And, just as we emphasize communication with clients, we do the same with our team. Our goal is to keep each member of the team informed and inspired to meet deadlines with the highest levels of work standards and attention to detail, no matter the workloads.
