K/BIS 2005 Set For Las Vegas

Hackettstown, NJ The National Kitchen & Bath
Association (NKBA) and its trade show partner have announced that
the 2005 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show will take place for the first
time ever in Las Vegas. The announcement signals a major change of
venue for the K/BIS event the largest international trade show
dedicated to the kitchen and bath industry.

For the past six years, K/BIS has alternated
annually between Chicago’s McCormick Place and Orlando’s Orange
County Convention Center. K/BIS is scheduled to return to
Chicago for 2004, before moving to the Las Vegas Convention Center
in May of 2005.

Las Vegas was targeted as a K/BIS location because
of its appeal as a destination city for major events, as well as
the size and quality of its convention facilities and its greater
proximity to the West Coast, according to K/BIS organizers.

“We are confident the move to Las Vegas will
inspire added excitement and open new doors for exhibitors and
attendees,” said Larry Spangler, CEO of the NKBA.

“K/BIS has had great success in Orlando and
Chicago, but Las Vegas will attract new interest and awareness
nationally and internationally,” said Walt Goldsby, group v.p. of
NKBA’s trade show partner, the Atlanta-based VNU Expositions.

“The kitchen and bath industry is constantly
evolving and we’ll make sure K/BIS is meeting the needs of the
marketplace,” he added.
