Huntington Beach, Calif. — Legrand has been recognized by the Lighting for Tomorrow competition for its adorne Tru-Universal sofTap Dimmer. The competition’s 2015 judging panel reviewed a total of 120 products including 60 LED indoor fixtures, four LED outdoor fixtures, two OLED fixtures, seven LED retrofit kits, 42 LED replacement lamps and five lighting control devices. In the lighting controls category, the Legrand adorne Tru-Universal sofTap Dimmer was named as a winner.

By recognizing exceptional new products, Lighting for Tomorrow seeks to meet consumer expectations and leap over market barriers that inhibit the adoption and use of energy-efficient residential lighting products. Several of the key technology developments and market trends reflected in the entries were: Approximately 80 percent of the fixture, lamp and retrofit kit entries included dimming features; there was an increased quantity of lighting products that considered the specific lighting needs of the senior population; and some fixtures were able to meet the challenging Energy Star efficacy criteria for inseparable luminaires.
