We are using Coconstruct project management software to communicate and collaborate with clients. One central portal for communication has streamlined operations and given our strengthened clients’ confidence in their project’s completion and the achievement of their desired results.
Rising costs for labor and building materials along with higher inflation on everything else is forcing remodelers and home pros to raise prices dramatically. Tell us about the most effective ways you are passing along these rising prices to your clients?:
Our estimating and contract processes allow us to lock in material pricing within a week of contract signing. We have built onsite facility storage to hold product until it is time to begin the contracted work.
Supply shortages have required you to ask clients to go back and pick another finish or building material. What are your tips for handing these product trade-off conversations?:
Although it is frustrating for both clients and us, we are finding that consumers have almost become accustomed to either excess lead times or limited product availability. They have encountered this in other transactions outside of our dealings. It has actually made it easier for us to have these conversations.
