LesCare Opens New Factory in North Carolina

Waterbury, CT LesCare Kitchens, Inc., the custom cabinet
manufacturer with headquarters in Waterbury, CT, has opened a new
manufacturing facility in Statesville, NC, the company
announced.

The 310,000-sq.-ft., rail-served facility, which began
operations in March, is located on 30 acres of land off highways
I-40 and I-77, in Statesville, an area with a large number of
unemployed furniture workers, according to LesCare CEO James
Lestorti.

The new factory, Lestorti explained, is a completely renovated
building, on which work began last August.

LesCare officials and local contractors “were very successful in
keeping a project of this magnitude on track and on time,” Lestorti
said. “The clean-up was the largest part of the project, and we
knocked that out first. Everything from alarm systems, plumbing,
heating, air conditioning, docks and doors needed tweaking. If it
weren’t for the LesCare employees and contractors in the community
that we hired, the renovation process could not have happened so
quickly and smoothly. Everyone needs to be thanked beyond the
expression of words. All of our needs and wants have been met,” he
added.

According to LesCare officials, the new factory will enable the
cabinet manufacturer to expand its product lines and increase its
speed to market. The facility also includes a showroom and training
center, the company noted.

“The equipment in the new facility is second to none,” Lestorti
said. “All cutting-edge equipment has been assembled under one roof
to produce state-of-the-art cabinetry.”
