Light Control Solution to Expand With Acquisition

COOPERSBURG, Pa.—Lutron Electronics has signed an agreement to acquire Ketra, a company offering lighting and control solutions. Ed Blair, Lutron senior vice president, notes it is a natural extension for the company to expand its product portfolio with Ketra light sources and controls. “This acquisition allows Lutron to take care of its customers with the most comprehensive portfolio of light control product offering and enables our customers to create a more comfortable, productive and pleasant environment at home and at work,” he says. “We’re excited to deliver this expanded light control solution to the industry.”

Founded in 2009 in Austin, Ketra has delivered customizable light in residential and commercial environments. Its selection of light sources creates high-quality white, pastels and saturated colors that enhance the look of a space and can be tailored to meet the needs of a space. The company’s Natural Light solutions provide light that seamlessly emulates daylight in interior spaces.
