San Francisco, CA The Luxury Kitchen and Bath Collection, a
trade show and educational conference created for high-end
designers, dealers, architects, decorative plumbing hardware
showrooms and distributors by Dallas-based Davis Peterson
Collaborative LLC, is set for its second year. The invitation-only
show, billed as “the world’s only trade event dedicated to the
high-end kitchen and bath market,” will take place December 2-3 at
the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco, CA.

“Luxury Kitchen and Bath Collection is for industry
professionals and opinion leaders who are serious about impacting
the future of the high-end kitchen and bath market,” said Todd
Davis, partner with Alan Peterson in the Davis Peterson
Collaborative. “Our goal at Luxury Kitchen and Bath Collection is
to provide something unique, insightful and worthwhile for
participants,” he added.
Among the programs set for the event are educational sessions,
networking opportunities and hospitality functions.

An Opening Keynote Address is scheduled to be given by architect
Michael Graves, FAIA, of Michael Graves Architects. In his speech,
Graves will discuss the relationship among builders, their
interiors and the collection of objects they contain, and will
argue that, when seen together, these are essential elements in the
development of the character of domesticity and our sense of
habitation.

A variety of topics will be covered in the educational sessions
offered at the show. “Luxury Lifestyles: How Other Industry
Concepts Translate to K&B” is just one of the sessions to be
presented. In this offering, design icons Karim Rashid, Michael
Berman and Michael Lammel will explore how concepts from
hospitality, furniture and fashion design cross over into high-end
kitchens and baths.

“Becoming Your Own Brand: Getting Your Reputation to Precede
You,” another presentation topic, will instruct attendees on how to
set themselves apart from other leading design professionals in
their market areas. Eliot Sefrin, editorial director of K&BDN,
will moderate this session, which features speakers Mick De Giulio
of de Giulio kitchen design, inc.; Kimball Derrick, CKD, of The
Kitchen Design Studio/K.D. & Steele Cabinetry; and Joan
DesCombes, CKD, of Architectural Artworks Inc.

Marc Marsan will be on hand to present “Mental Matrix: How to
Engage in Naked Thinking,” designed to teach attendees how to
maintain the sense of adventure in their design work and avoid
pitfalls of routine.

“Future Forward: The Shape of Luxury to Come” will feature Brett
Anderson, editorial director of the Robb Report, taking a profound
look forward, while Robin Waters, v.p. of Trend Analysis of Target
Corp., will explore how to make sense out of opposites and how to
attract today’s consumer in “The Contradictory Consumer.”

Networking events are also planned and include: a full-day tour
of the wineries of Napa and Sonoma counties; a wine-tasting evening
with hors d’oeurves and live entertainment sponsored by Sub-Zero
and Wolf; a Dessert and Cordials reception to welcome show guests
sponsored by Viking Range Corp.; a design tour of Bay Area kitchen
and bath showrooms, as well as a tour of a newly renovated $3.5
million penthouse, sponsored by Viking Range Corp.; and Boutique
Exhibits and Product Showcases which will feature high-end kitchen
and bath products and several manufacturers unveiling
never-before-seen product introductions for the
industry.
