Luxury Show Set for NY, Vegas in ’03

Dallas Luxury Kitchen and Bath Collection organizers have
announced that they will be conducting two events in 2003, aimed at
meeting the trade show and educational needs of the high-end
kitchen and bath market.

Las Vegas will host the spring edition of the event in June,
while the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York will host the event in
November, announced the Davis Peterson Collaborative, the
Dallas-based organizers of the luxury market event.

The event, launched last year in Florida, has been conducted
once a year in 2001 and 2002. This year’s Luxury Kitchen and Bath
Collection took place earlier this month in San Francisco.

“We’ve determined that the New York location would serve as a
primary market for the event given its demographic mixture of top
designers, architects, showroom owners, and kitchen and bath
dealers,” said Davis Peterson Collaborative partner Todd Davis.

“Manufacturers of high end product have wholeheartedly endorsed
New York, since it’s considered by many to be the key market in the
industry,” Davis observed.

Given the fact that the event may remain in New York for the
foreseeable future, organizers wanted to secure the event’s
position within the Western market, and have selected Las Vegas for
the first edition, Davis added.

The Luxury Kitchen and Bath Collection was launched last year by
Davis and his partner, Alan Peterson both of whom had previously
been closely connected with the Kitchen/Bath Industry Industry Show
(K/BIS).

“Our intention to have two events in 2003 stems from the
regional nature of the attendance,” Davis commented. “We believe
that two events can adequately serve the market without saturating
it.”

“We are sensitive to manufacturers’ time and their expenses, but
those who currently participate in the event know that we are
committed to their goals and will continue to limit the amount of
space offered, carefully watch their costs, and invest in the event
by continuing to offer a unique event that assists our exhibitors
and sponsors to sell more products,” he added

According to Peterson, the event and trade show industry is
undergoing change.

Said Peterson: “Manufacturers are interested in gaining brand
awareness and exposure to key buyers in a networking setting. We
are essentially providing a corporate event complete with
education, special events and key product displays for niche
manufacturers in this marketplace.

“By holding two events in key U.S. markets, Luxury Kitchen and
Bath will continue to meet the goals of its mutual customers . . .
the high-end specifiers of unique products and those who provide
those
products.”
