Management Seminar Series Fully Underway
Mahwah, NJ The second in the five-part “Managing for Profit”
business management seminar series being conducted in 2000 was
“another major success,” according to program organizers Kitchen
& Bath Design News and the National Kitchen & Bath
The mid-May session which was conducted here and followed on the
heels of a well-attended session at the recent National Kitchen
& Bath Conference in Chicago drew about 75 kitchen and bath
dealers from a five-state area around New Jersey, according to
K&BDN and the NKBA. The seminar was underwritten in part by
Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry.
A third session, scheduled for mid-June in the Detroit metro
area, is being underwritten by Plain & Fancy and Aristokraft.
Additional all-day “Managing for Profit” seminars are scheduled for
Sept. 28 in the Atlanta area, and Oct. 26 in Costa Mesa, CA.
The “Managing for Profit” program, unique to the kitchen and
bath industry, made its debut in 1999 with a pair of
enthusiastically-received sessions in Boston and San Francisco. The
all-day seminar – targeted primarily at the owners of kitchen and
bath dealerships and remodeling firms is aimed at delivering
practical, in-depth strategies for managing a dealership in a
rapidly-changing and increasingly competitive kitchen and bath
