‘Managing for Profit’ Series to Continue in
Hackensack, NJ Next month concludes the 2002 “Managing for
Profit” seminar series, while plans have been announced for an
expanded seminar series in 2003, Kitchen & Bath Design News
publisher Eliot Sefrin stated.
The innovative, all-day educational series co-produced by
Kitchen & Bath Design News and the National Kitchen & Bath
Association garnered tremendous support from both kitchen and bath
dealers and corporate sponsors in 2002, which resulted in plans for
an expanded program for ’03, Sefrin said.
“We’ve received tremendously positive feedback, and we’re
looking forward to continuing the program in ’03,” Sefrin stated,
noting that dates and locations for the 2003 sessions will be
announced in the near future.
NKBA will once again be co-sponsoring the 2003 seminar program,
and corporate sponsorships are expected to be announced in the near
future, as well.
The educational program encompassed five sessions in 2002 in
major metropolitan areas throughout the U.S., including New York,
Washington, DC/Baltimore, Chicago, Atlanta and San Francisco.
Designed for owners and managers of kitchen/bath dealerships,
the “Managing for Profit” series addresses essential skills in
business management, sales and marketing. These include the use of
key financial management tools, managing cash flow and controlling
operating costs skills imperative to running a successful kitchen
and bath firm in today’s competitive business environment.
Also included are special presentations by Better Homes and
Gardens Magazine on how to effectively capitalize on consumer sales
“There’s a tremendous need in this industry for good, solid
business management information,” Sefrin noted. “In these highly
competitive times, kitchen and bath dealers need the best tools
available to help them run their businesses as efficiently as
possible, and our aim is to help fill that need,” he added.
The two remaining seminar programs for 2002 will be held
September 19, at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia in Atlanta, GA, and
October 16, at the Embassy Suites South in San Francisco, CA.
NKBA members can register for any seminar for a discounted rate
of $100; non-members are charged $175; sponsors’ customers and
guests are admitted free. “Managing for Profit” attendees also
qualify for ongoing professional development (OPD) credits and
continuing educational units (CEU).
