Mark National Building Systems Week with NAHB

by Kacey Larsen

WASHINGTON—A weeklong national event by members of the Building Systems Council (BSC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) marks National Building Systems Week, which runs August 4 to 10. Model home tours, demonstrations and more are offered to educated consumers on the differences between system-built homes versus traditional stick built. Consumers will also be provided information for planning a new home.

Modular, panelized, concrete and log homes provide homeowners another alternative to home building that may save time and money due to the way the homes are built. Prefabricated by skilled craftsmen in efficient, controlled settings allows for consistent quality and eliminates weather delays. “We are inviting members of the community to visit our model homes and tour our factories during Building Systems Week,” said BSC Chairman Kevin Flaherty, vice president of marketing for Genesis Homes and Champion Home Builders Inc., based in Troy, Mich. “They will be able to learn all about the great things that building systems has to offer for their future home.”
