I recently interviewed a few builders about their online marketing practices and both mentioned they will be putting more focus on online video in 2011. Both builders said they plan to use online video to promote lots they own, houses, and even local and national media coverage. (Article will run in Feb/March RD+B issue.)
In December 2010, 172 million U.S. Internet users watched online video according to a recent report by comScore. That’s 84.6 percent of the U.S. Internet audience viewing online video in December. And of that number, 144 million users watched videos on YouTube. That’s huge. And it presents huge marketing potential for builders/designers.
