Medallion Opens Plant in Oregon

Waconia, MN Medallion Cabinetry, Inc., the major manufacturer of
semi-custom cabinetry based here, has opened a new manufacturing
facility on the West Coast, the company announced.

Medallion’s new 150,000-sq.-ft. factory, located in
Independence, OR, officially opened in early October, and replaces
the company’s 70,000-sq.-ft. facility in Salem, OR, the company
said.

The new plant will enable the cabinet manufacturer to
“significantly increase production levels,” added officials of the
Elkay Mfg. Co.-owned Medallion.

“This expansion is in line with our goal of growing our business
in the Western markets,” said executive v.p. and general manager
Tom Cook. “Through the Independence plant, we will be able to
triple productivity and provide more cabinets to our customers in
the West,” Cook noted.

According to executive v.p./sales and marketing Larry Stokes,
Medallion “is the only national semi-custom manufacturer to commit
to the special needs of the Western market with a state-of-the-art
facility.

“For years, Western consumers and dealers have had to buy from
Eastern factories to receive a first-rate national cabinetry
brand,” Stokes observed. “With our new plant in Independence,
Western consumers now have easy access to the highest-quality,
built-to-order cabinetry.”
