The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) named 17 winners of the 10th annual NAHB/Builders Mutual Insurance Company Safety Award for Excellence (SAFE) for their commitment to strong safety programs. The winners were recognized last night at the SAFE awards reception held during the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.

The NAHB/Builders Mutual Insurance Company SAFE awards recognize member companies, workers and other individuals for the excellent safety programs that make them leaders in the residential construction industry.

“It gives me great pleasure to recognize the recipients of this year’s SAFE awards,” said NAHB Construction, Safety and Health Committee Chairman Don Pratt, a residential contractor and a construction education consultant from Auburn Hills, Mich. “Safety is an essential aspect of our construction industry and, of course, we want our workers to make it home safe and sound each and every day. But that requires an ongoing commitment to job site safety, it is for this reason that we honor those individuals and companies that demonstrate exemplary achievement in keeping their workers and worksites safe through the use of safe work practices, applied procedures and effective training programs.”
