NARI Announces New Executive Committee for 2021-2022

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) recently unveiled the association’s officers who will form the new executive committee of its board of directors for the coming year.

The new slate includes Doug King of St. Petersburg, Fla., who moves from president to chairman; Dennis Gehmam of Harleysville, Pa. who moves from president-elect to president; Chris Egner of New Berlin, Wis. who moves from treasurer to president-elect; Andy Apter of Annapolis, Md., who will serve as treasurer; and new board member Jason Hensler of Watertown, Wis., who will serve as secretary.

“The NARI executive committee is vital to ensuring that we continue to meet our members’ needs, especially in the current economic climate,” said David Pekel, chief executive of NARI. “We are grateful for the commitment of our all-volunteer officers whose experience and professionalism represent the finest in the remodeling industry. The innovation and leadership of this outstanding team will enable NARI to continue to advance our industry through enhanced educational offerings, marketing innovation, member services and outreach, and new consumer-facing initiatives.” 

Stepping down as chairman after completion of his term and several years of service on the executive committee is Robi Kirsic, MCKBR, UDCP owner of TimeLine Renovation & Design in Merrick, N.Y.

According to Pekel, all of the officers have been involved in the ongoing success of NARI for many years. “Their industry expertise, and a deep familiarity with the organization’s membership and mission, will enable them to make significant and lasting contributions to the association,” he added.
