NARI Spring Business Meeting Includes Announcement of CotY Winners

by Kacey Larsen

DES PLAINES, Ill.—The 2015 Evening of Excellence reception took place on April 17, 2015, during a three-day event for the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), and 36 national Contractor of the Year (CotY) winners were named at the ceremony. NARI also brought the Evening of Excellence to the remodeling industry via an online webcast announcement, and the webcast will be available for 30 days on NARI’s YouTube channel.

Contractors from seven regions nationwide vie for the awards on an annual basis in categories ranging from kitchens, baths, additions, exteriors, whole house and commercial remodels. All projects entered were completed between December 1, 2012, and November 30, 2014, and were not submitted in prior NARI National contests. An impartial panel of industry experts judged based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation. Preliminary judging took place online in January, and 160 regional winners were advanced as finalists at the national level.
