1. Demand for services is stronger than ever. Supply delays are widespread. Building product prices are rising. Please name the concrete steps you take to keep customers satisfied as timelines and prices are fluctuating?

In some cases we limit our finish or product selections in what is available right now. Or, we build our schedule accordingly.

For some projects we don’t start the project until the critical components are ordered and in our or clients possession.

2. A good remodeling or home improvement firm knows the limits of its capabilities to take on additional work. What do/would you communicate to clients when you cannot handle their job and must decline their inquiry?

We are being straight forward- if we can’t take on their project now and if clients can’t wait for the project to be done later, we have to pass on it. We would rather lose that project, than take it on, then try to “squeeze” it into our schedule and risk having new and existing client unhappy with the schedule delays or lack of attention…

3. During busy times like these, operational adjustments are needed in order to take on more work, often with the same level of staffing. What steps have you taken to ensure a quality experience despite the added workloads for your team?

We share realistic schedule with our clients and set appropriate expectations- it’s all in communication.
